Terms of Service - Askit

Last updated: September 19, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Askit mobile application, the askitapp.co website, and related services (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Liveshopp, 1 place Jehan Rictus, 93270 Sevran, France (“Askit”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By selecting “Verify by SMS”, creating an account, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old, or the higher minimum age required in your country, to use Askit. If local law requires permission from a parent or legal guardian, you may use the Service only with that permission. App Store age ratings may vary by country and do not replace these eligibility requirements.

You must provide accurate information, keep control of the phone number associated with your account, and promptly tell us about unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.

2. What Askit provides

Askit is a platform where creators, experts, founders, coaches, athletes, public figures, and others can connect directly with their communities. Community members can send questions, and recipients can choose which questions to answer in videos of up to 60 seconds. Questions and answers may be public, shared outside Askit, and displayed in feeds or on public profiles.

Community members can support a question through a paid boost. Boosts can increase a question's visibility and ranking, but do not guarantee that the question will be selected or answered.

Creators decide whether and how to answer a question. Their content expresses their own views. Askit does not endorse or guarantee any advice, opinion, outcome, or response time unless the Service expressly states otherwise.

3. Payments, refunds, and creator earnings

Prices, currencies, fees, and any applicable taxes are shown before purchase. Questions and boosts purchased in the iOS app are processed by Apple as In-App Purchases. Payments made on the Askit website are processed by Mollie. Apple's or Mollie's terms may also apply to the relevant transaction.

Refunds are handled according to the payment channel, applicable law, and the conditions shown at purchase. Requests relating to an Apple purchase must be submitted to Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com. Refunds for eligible web purchases are returned through Mollie to the original payment method, subject to processing times outside Askit's control.

A creator earns after publishing an eligible paid answer. Unless a different amount is shown, Askit charges a 15% platform fee on the proceeds available after applicable payment-processing fees. Payouts require complete and accurate bank details and remain subject to payment-provider settlement schedules, banking delays, fraud checks, refunds, chargebacks, and legal obligations.

4. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abuse

Askit has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You must not create, request, upload, publish, share, or encourage content or conduct that:

  • is illegal, fraudulent, threatening, or intended to cause harm;
  • is hateful, discriminatory, harassing, bullying, defamatory, or targeted abuse;
  • contains pornography, sexual exploitation, sexual content involving minors, or non-consensual intimate material;
  • promotes violence, self-harm, dangerous activity, trafficking, or controlled substances;
  • infringes privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or other rights;
  • contains spam, scams, malicious code, impersonation, or attempts to manipulate the Service; or
  • otherwise creates a serious risk to users, Askit, or the public.

You may not retaliate against a person who makes a good-faith report or misuse reporting tools to harass another user.

5. Reporting, blocking and moderation

While signed in to the Askit app, you can block another user from their profile. Blocking hides that user's profile, questions, published clips, and clips answering their questions from your experience, including search and discovery. You can review your blocked users and unblock them in the menu under Help & Support → Blocked users. Unblocking allows their content to appear again.

Blocking applies immediately to what you see in your account and is recorded by Askit as a safety signal for moderation purposes. It does not delete content, ban the other account, prevent others from viewing public content, or cancel a purchase or refund obligation. Use the reporting tools to provide details about content or conduct that violates these Terms.

Users can report a video by tapping the flag icon in the feed. A question can be reported by pressing and holding it, selecting “Report Question”, and describing the issue. Reports are sent to Askit's moderation tools for administrator review.

We review reports within 24 hours. When we confirm that content or conduct violates these Terms, we remove the offending content and suspend or terminate the responsible account. We may act immediately in urgent or serious cases, preserve evidence where legally required, and cooperate with competent authorities.

Moderation decisions may take context, severity, prior conduct, and legal requirements into account. To ask about a moderation decision, contact sofiane@askitapp.co.

6. Your content and the licence you grant

You keep ownership of content you create. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit it and that it complies with these Terms.

You grant Askit a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, adapt for technical purposes, display, distribute, and make your content available as needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote Askit. This includes displaying content in the Service, creating watermarked versions, enabling users to share published videos, and featuring published content in Askit's promotional communications.

This licence ends when the content is deleted from our active systems, except where a copy must remain for legal, security, backup, or dispute-resolution purposes, or where another user has already shared a copy outside our control.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, branding, interfaces, graphics, and original materials, belongs to Askit or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right to use Askit trademarks or copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer the Service except as permitted by law.

8. Suspension, termination, and account deletion

You may stop using Askit at any time and request account deletion from the app. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with law, or protect the Service.

Account deletion removes access and initiates removal or anonymisation of account information. Certain transaction, payout, moderation, security, and legal records may be retained for the periods required or permitted by law. Further details appear in our Privacy Policy.

9. Service availability and liability

We work to keep Askit available and secure, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features for operational, security, or legal reasons.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Subject to those rights, Askit is not responsible for indirect loss, content supplied by users, or events outside our reasonable control.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and protect personal data and how you can exercise your rights.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Askit, the law, or our safety practices. We will publish the updated version and revise the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or ask you to accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the Service.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also retain the mandatory protections and courts available under the law of your country of residence. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern amicably.
